Branden Mims serves as the Senior Pastor of the Greater Metropolitan Church of Christ in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2013, he answered God's call to plant a missional congregation on the east side of Kansas City. Through a steadfast commitment to biblical teaching, community engagement, and servant leadership, the congregation has experienced steady growth.

A dedicated preacher, teacher, and community leader, Branden is a graduate of Southwestern Christian College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies. He earned a master’s in theology from Princeton Theological Seminary and is a doctoral candidate at Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University.

Beyond his pastoral ministry, Branden has devoted his career to strengthening communities through violence prevention, public safety, and nonprofit leadership. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Greater Impact, the nonprofit community development organization affiliated with the Greater Metropolitan Church of Christ, where he oversees initiatives focused on violence intervention, behavioral health, youth development, workforce readiness, and community outreach.

Branden is passionate about equipping the church to address both the spiritual and practical needs of the community. His ministry emphasizes discipleship, restorative justice, community transformation, and compassionate service, reflecting his conviction that the local church should be a catalyst for hope and lasting change.

He is married to his wife, Sharee, and together they are blessed with two children, Daylie and Brayden. Branden remains committed to faithfully serving God, empowering others, and advancing Christ's Kingdom through preaching, leadership, and community impact.
